👋Hi, I’m Michael. I’ve been designing digital products for over 10 years, helping companies grow their revenue by making complex tools simple and delightful to use.
I currently work at casa.io, a leader in bitcoin self-custody. We secure billions in bitcoin for clients in 46+ countries and build the financial products around it.
My background in computer science helps me close the gap between product and engineering. Code is part of how I design.
Outside of work, I’m interested in technology, endurance sports and riding my motorcycle.
Prototyping and building with Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, from first idea to shipped code.
Components, tokens and documentation that designers, engineers and AI agents build from.
Bitcoin self-custody, multisig, buying and selling, and controls for organizations.
User flows and high-fidelity UI for web and mobile, validated by real users early.
Interviews, usability testing and analytics, turned into clear decisions.
Making sure everyone can use the product, regardless of their abilities.

I design because complicated things shouldn't feel complicated. Money, security, the tools people rely on every day: the harder the problem, the more it matters that using it feels obvious.

Look at the T3 radio: a grid of holes and one dial. I keep trying to find something to take away and can't. That's the bar I hold my own work to.

You pick it up and already know how it works. Shutter speed and aperture are real dials you can feel without looking, so you're never lost in a menu while the shot walks away.

A good chair is one you forget you're sitting in. The mesh looked strange in 1994, and now almost every office chair borrows from it.

You could write a whole email without looking down. Every key had its own ridge, so your thumbs always knew where they were. Glass is easier to build. It isn't easier to type on.

It's what I show people when they ask what good software feels like. Everything is a keystroke away and nothing makes you wait. You can tell the team uses it all day.

No screen and no notifications. Each morning it tells you whether to push or rest, then gets out of the way. I like products that know when to stay quiet.
Things I make for fun: photography, drawings and small projects I build for myself.
